Cincinnati is divided into five districts and each district into smaller neighborhoods. District Four includes Avondale, North Avondale, Corryville, Walnut Hills, Mount Auburn, Paddock Hills, Bond Hill, Roselawn, Carthage, and Hartwell. We’ll cover the last five in this blog. This area predominately includes the neighborhoods north of District Two and between the I-75 and I-71.
This tiny neighborhood is home to some beautiful Dutch and Tudor Revival homes. With under 1000 people in Paddock Hills, there is a great small-town feel. Almost half of the neighborhood is the Avon Fields Golf Course.
Bond Hill’s past is an odd juxtaposition. Founded in 1870, as both a railroad suburb and a temperance community, the homes are neat and trim with lots of character. Like much of District Four, the homes are quite affordable. Bond Hill is home to Maketewah Country Club. This country club boasts a world class golf course and elegant club house.
Located along I-75 north of Bond Hill, Roselawn is another classic neighborhood of tree-lined streets, period homes and spacious verandas. Homes are very affordable, and the area has great access to downtown.
Located across the interstate from Roselawn, Carthage is home to the annual Cincinnati Hispanic Festival. Much of the neighborhood is home to Caldwell Nature Center and Hartwell Golf Course. Homes are an interesting mix of old and new homes.
Hartwell offers a small neighborhood with easy access to I-75 and the Ronald Reagan Cross Country Highway. Homes are older and affordable.
