GREENSHIRE COMMONS – GREEN TOWNSHIP, OHIO

If you’ve ever thought that living at a golf course would be like heaven because of all the open space, trees, water features, and lush, green grass, you may have found the perfect place to live in Greenshire Commons. This planned community was actually built on the former Hill View Golf Course.
They opted to honor the loveliness of the old golf course by creating Greenshire Commons as a place filled with trees, a winding entrance that is reminiscent of a park, multiple lakes, literal acres of green space, and walking trails to enjoy throughout the community.
Many of the homesites in Greenshire Commons offer views that are panoramic and have wooded backdrops, adding to the luxurious feel of this community.
’s only a quick 15-minute commute from Greenshire Commons to downtown Cincinnati. Both I-74 and I-275 are easily accessed from the community.
Public school students who live in Greenshire Commons will be part of the Oak Hills Local School District (OHLSD). OHLSD has received recognition, not just locally and in the state of Ohio, but nationally, as well. The recognition has come as a result of achievements in athletics, academics, the fine arts, technology, and also in their extracurricular activities.
Even though the school district is the third largest in the county, it also ranks in the lower 20 percent of taxes assessed per school district in the county.

THINGS TO SEE AND DO AROUND GREENSHIRE COMMONS
One big annual event Greenshire Commons residents can enjoy is the Harvest Home Fair held each September. It began in the 1860s when a farmer, who owned land in Green Township, wanted to celebrate his harvest with a fair. The Kiwanis Club of Cheviot took over the Harvest Home Fair in 1939. Volunteers come from all over to help ensure it is a fun event for all.
Green Township is aptly named, being home to 6 parks and protected green space totaling more than 140 acres. Holidays such as Memorial Day and Independence Day are observed with activities. And other activities, such as car shows, kite flying, and train shows take place locally.
All of this is, of course, in addition to the dining, entertainment, and shopping offered in Green Township and nearby communities.
