Northern Kentucky
Village of Mainstrasse
Mainstrasse Village in Covington, Kentucky, is a bustling 19th-century German neighborhood only minutes from downtown Cincinnati. Mainstrasse, which is on the National Historic Registry, is home to exciting stores, galleries, and some of Covington’s best restaurants, with various festivals throughout the year, including GoettaFest.
Do you appreciate a good Kentucky hug? Several destinations on Northern Kentucky’s bourbon tour, the B-Line, are within walking distance of one other in Mainstrasse village. Enjoy a Bourbon Haus 1841 flight on the terrace, a fresh farm-to-table dinner at Bouquet Restaurant, and a nightcap at Wiseguy Lounge or Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar. Don’t forget to stamp those Line Guides along the road for a chance to win a new t-shirt or other prizes.
Visit five independently owned eateries and dine like a local, sampling handcrafted specialty pizza, German pretzels, beer cheese, charcuterie, coffee, homemade sweets, and other traditional Kentucky fare.
Visit the 100-foot-tall Carroll Chimes Bell Tower, the Goose Girl Fountain, and countless other historical landmarks while you’re here to learn about Mainstrasse Village’s past.
Newport on The Levee
It’s like you’ve never seen Newport on the Levee before! The renowned riverfront entertainment spot has been entirely reinvented with family-friendly activities.
The “Levee,” as it’s known among the locals, is a one-of-a-kind experience located in Newport, Kentucky, and just over the river from Downtown Cincinnati. It hosts a summer music series, health programs, quiz evenings, and other community events and festivals.
You can’t go wrong with a date night to get dinner at one of the various riverside eating options, such as Brothers Bar & Grill, before seeing a movie at the AMC cinema, which has magnificent views of the Cincinnati cityscape. Gameworks, Rotolo Bowling, and Hofbrauhuas are some more terrific date-night possibilities.
Cincinnati Neighborhood
The Banks
The Banks is an 18-acre mixed-use development located along with Cincinnati’s most famous asset, the Ohio Riverfront. The Banks, which stretches 18 acres from the foot of the Iconic Roebling Suspension Bridge, is now home to fascinating restaurants, entertainment venues, and apartments. The Banks spans from the Ohio River to the Central Business District, sandwiched between Great American Ball Park and Paul Brown Stadium and next to the 50-acre Smale Riverfront Park and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. With approximately 8,000 parking spots and easy access from major Interstates, I-71, I-75, and I-471, The Banks is one of the nation’s biggest contiguous parking complexes.

Cincinnati has not one, not two, but seven playhouses! Spend an evening with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company listening to Shakespeare, Coward, and Dickens, or visit The Aronoff Center for the Arts to see your favorite Broadway touring groups. Spend an evening on a Cincinnati hilltop at Playhouse in the Park for an unforgettable off-Broadway experience and a breathtaking view of downtown Cincinnati.
Do you have a family member that is a budding actor? Come see a show with them at the Cincinnati Children’s Theater in the afternoon! While you’re here, take in a production at the Know Theatre, Ensemble Theatre, or the Warsaw Federal Incline Theater to see some of the local talents.
