Ohio House passes property valuation reform bill

The Ohio House approved the Flip the Script Act, shifting control of property valuation sales data to county auditors, who will now determine which home sales are used in reappraisals every three years. The Ohio Department of Taxation can appeal these decisions to the Board of Tax Appeals, which must rule by year-end. The bill passed unanimously and now moves to the state Senate.
